We had about 3 inches of global warming last night, it's drifting now. It's 17F right now, winds are 22 gusting to 38 out of the NNW. The Sun is out. Yesterday afternoon/evening I was watching the front on the WX map, Lubbock, TX. was reporting 33F and Midland, TX. was reporting 70F and they are only about 100 miles apart. No warm up until Friday. It's not fun feeding the animals (horses and goats).

By the way, here's a great map for checking flight conditions, just run the cursor over the airport.

It's shivering cold down here. Us warm-weather spoiled Texas are literally freezing. Never mind that we usually start wearing jackets when its below 50, it's supposed to be in the 20s this evening! It's a clear sunny day, and in the 30s! It's soooo shockingly cold.

We are covered with ice ... some of the neighborhood kids were ice skating out on the street and sidewalks .... was tempted to get my skates out but at my age .. not sure it would have been a wise thing,

The ice is so bad here that both WPAFB and the Air Force Museum is closed again today. Both were closed yesterday as well.

We got 18" just north of Tulsa but, thankfully, little icing before. It's kind of an "average" blizzard to a Nebraska native but it'll take a while to get things operating here since there is precious little snow removal equipment in Ok.

Balmy 19 here in Angelo, with a 13mph north wind. Beats early this morning at 9 degrees with a 25 mph wind!

Heck, the HIGH here in Phoenix is going to be 33 AND with the windchill it'll be from the low teens to the twenties. BUT no snow :( of course they would lose their mind here if they got snow!
