Warbird Information Exchange

I live approx 3 miles from Joihn Wayne/Orange county airport in Costa mesa,ca. I live in a condo complex and one of the pluses living here is a swimming pool and hot tub. approx 2 weeks ago I was soaking these old bones in the hot tub.I (being an airplane freak) always watch whatever is flying overhead.it was maybe 9 at night and I saw flashing red and white lights from some kind of aircraft overhead.I wouldnt have given it a second glance if not for the fact that it stopped in mid flight and did a 90" turn.and leave at a rather high speed. so I stayed and watched as 3 of these craft made regular passes overhead and skirt the grounds of the airport.I have since sat and watched these craft every night as they are patrolling.sometimes they come as one ,sometimes 2 and sometimes all 3.I figure they must be UAV's because they are small,fast and almost silent.they also can do some radical moves.They always fly the same circuit.they come from the north,maybe following the 405 freeway. They fly over my complex and turn to the west and head north following the coast.it takes them approx 30 minutes to make a pass.after watching and thinking about what I am seeing,I realized that LAX,Long Beach and O.C. airports all are on the coast and along side the 405 freeway.I might be full of it(yes I am) but I'm guessing that Its possibly Homeland security or similar patrolling the airports.I can prove the craft fly overhead everynight.I tried to shoot some video but my kodak junkcam isnt up to night video.come over one night and I'll show you.I did some research online and Homeland security claims they want funding for UAV's but I think they have them. 3 airports,3 drones.I dont know for sure what's up ,but they are there every night.Also O'C' airport closes at 10 pm and they stop appearing at the same time.Wikipedia UAV's and see how many different types of UAV's exist.Anybody have a better idea of what's up?

Yeah, sounds like a UAV. There are several vertical takeoff and even one tilt-rotor UAV either deployed or in development.
