A company called Survival Straps makes a line of wrist bands and belts from parachute cord that are pretty stylish and could prove helpful in an incident as they can be unraveled to provide up to 250 feet of parachute cord without the fuss and mess of coiled rope. Saw an article on them in the local Sunday papers outdoors column
