Air Force Academy Evacuated

A friend who lives in the area, emails this morning that the fires around Colorado Springs have consumed some whole neighborhoods today, in that area. He says some 32,000 now evacuated, including the U.S.Air Force Academy.

I have family who live in Colorado Springs. My wife's cousin is a Firefighter and does wildfire duty. He just got back, now this. Jeeze.

Been there and Manitou Springs, love high desert, we went up to cave of the winds and when I got out of the car, it dawned on me I'd never been at that altitude without bringing an airplane along
