Since people seem to think that the off-topic section is for political discussion, something that is frowned upon, I have temporarily closed the section. ANY political discussions in any other forum will be deleted and the user suspended. I have had it with the politically motivated comments.

There's video by one of the passengers on that flight. By the time they are airborne the window is obscured by mud.

If you look at particularly the headon shots you see the chines on the nose wheel tires are doing their job and deflecting 99% of the mud-n-crud away from the propeller discs and inlets. The AN-24/26 was originally designed as an Army combat transport but morphed into a feeder liner for scheduled airlines within the Rodina when one was needed several years ago, they are also becoming the new DC-3 in Africa, Asia, South America. You would see similar effects riding in a DASH 8 or F-27 in sloppy conditions.
