I bid on an R-1340 on eBay which I did not win. A week or so after the auction closed I received a "second chance offer" to buy the engine. I called the seller and he told me that the engine was sold and he did not send out anything!
Basically, there are people trolling out there ("spoofing") hoping to catch you unawares and get your personal info. Beware! Always log on directly to eBay, any second chance offers will be there in your messages.
