a little "fyi".... i found out today that the driver accompanying general george s. patton & his chief of staff on a hunting trip after the war which lead to a collision & eventual death of the military legend, has himself died as of 12/9/05. that trip & accident lead to the general's critical injury & subsequent death. horace woodring was a 19 year old pfc on the fateful day when the car he was transporting patton in hit a truck, rendering the general paralyzed for 12 days till his demise. mr woodring was 77.
