Teacher Aerospace Education Summer Workshops

A number of teacher workshops in Aerospace Education will be presented throughout the southeast region of the USA next summer. The following is a current list of workshops scheduled for this summer. Most offer graduate credit and many offer tuition free grants. Check this page for additional listings.

WE ARE NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2006 UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE AEROSPACE EDUCATION SUMMER WORKSHOP FOR TEACHERS. TENNESSEE TEACHERS ARE INVITED TO APPLY. FULL TUITION IS PROVIDED FOR GRADUATE CREDIT!

LEARN ABOUT AEROSPACE EDUCATION AND HOW TO PRESENT IT IN YOUR CLASS ROOM. APPLIES TO ALL GRADE LEVELS AND SUBJECT AREAS.

University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN---Last three weeks July 10-28, 2006, Basic. Advanced AE Teacher Workshop July 2008. Apply for UT 2006 Basic Workshop applications now open. I just found out today that I was accepted into this thing. It includes a flight down to Kennedy Space Center aboard a KC-135 for a three-day tour plus some basic flight instruction (unfortunately, not aboard the KC-135!), lots of materials, and some great opportunities to learn about teaching flight-related lessons in my classroom.

Wow, this is very cool. I've often wondered about stuff like this, I'm a high school physics teacher. I'd love to get involved with this sometime, just this summer is going to be a little hectic. Hopefully one summer soon. Thanks for posting this, let us know how it goes!
