Im told this photo was taken off of Galveston beach, Its a really cool pic. But i dont know much about it, approx when it was taken or any other info. Anyone know???

Well, no jets slug under the wings help with the age of the plane. Most of the B-36 fleet was converted over to B-36D's during 1952.

I think (don't quote me on this) that a bunch of the conversion work was done in Texas. Perhaps this is a B model that was in town for an upgrade, and her crew decided to take her out for a day at the beach? :)

Just joking, how often I look back and say "It was Only an F-4 (or something else) at the time, now its AN F-4.

That is a great picture, I which I could have seen a B-36 fly once.

They must have had some notice that it would fly past,since the photographer was there and the guy in front of him looks like he is getting ready to take a pic,too. Looks like that one guy doesn't have any shorts on (maybe HE knew there would be pictures taken,too!) Great photo!
