Has anyone had Tee shirts made up with screen-printing? Kelly (my wife) and her sister are going to get some made for their singing group. I was hopping that someone could point us in a good direction. We want good quality shirts and good quality printing for a good (reasonable) price.

Tim

Tim,

I had the LAAHS.com t-shirts printed by an outfit in Houston, TX.

Location in reality, has little to do with anything anymore.

I wanted a T-shirt that would be of good quality, so we chose a heavy cotton (99% pre-shrunk and 1% polyester) T-shirt.

The price depends on how many T-shirts you are going to order, and there are set-up fees for the screens, and for whatever work-art you want printed on the t-shirts. In my case, that came to about US$80.00 for a very simple design. The set-up fee was a one-time deal, and if I want to order additional t-shirts, the price would be lower.

Minimum quantity was in this case, 36 units.

Look for a well established local shop, do not go overborard with design or too many colors. I don't know if you have noticed some warbird t-shirts at airshows, that have a beautiful drawn airplane, but the design is so busy with too many little things, that make the shirt actually -IMHO- look ugly. SO I do not buy any of those, ever.

I think, simpler is better.

The local shop usually handles large orders for any high school, college, sports teams, etc., so they have the experience and have already committed their share of mistakes, and thus your chances of a hassle free experience, are higher.

Good luck!

Saludos,

Tulio
