Great show. Blue Angels and Thunderbirds there. F-22. B-2. A great show if you like the fast movers. Only Jim Beasley's P-51D there for a demo and heritage flights, first with just F-16 and then with F-15, F-22, and F-4. Interesting notes with the Blues and Thunderbirds, both used their 2 seaters in their show in the 4 ships (check the pics). I didn't get it, but you can see from some other people's shots that Thunderbird pilot flew along with the Blues during their show in the backseat. Pretty cool! Anyways....Here's a few shots. enjoy!

Both the Angels and the Thunderbirds were there?
I thought I read somewhere that they would not do a show together again.

Brian,

Your last shot is a classic.

I did see the photo you mentioned of The T-bird pilot in the back seat of
BA4. Thanks for posting your review and photos.

What was the logic behind the argument? Was there a Mariah Carey / Whitney Houston diva-spat between the two groups? (I keeed...I keeed... )Or was it just deemed to be unfair by the powers that be for only a couple shows to land both groups when so many other shows miss out?

From what I've heard and if you think about it, the armed forces don't want to put all their 'eggs' in one basket (airshow). It's better to have the two main players in the airshow game at different shows on a weekend than at the same show, unless it's something spectacular.....that being said, this show was a on Wed. so that might of had something to do with it.

On an interesting note, a news paper in AC said that the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels pilots had a golf match on monday. Blues won, but both group CO's said they are looking forward to the rematch next august....wonder if the AC show will be an annual thing with both groups......

I know it's rare to have multiple show teams at one show, but how rare?

Last year the T-Birds and The Snowbirds were in Ft. Worth for a show...that got cancelled because of the no rain at the airport hurricane Rita.

I was looking forward to seeing both teams
