1. THE ACTUAL CABLE ARRESTOR. THE FAITH OF THE WHOLE F-16 AIRCRAFT AND THE LIFE OF THE CREW DEPENDS ON THIS PIECE WHICH CATCHES THE WIRE ON LANDING ON AN AIRCRAFT- CARRIER. CAN BE LASER ENGRAVED WITH THE EXECUTIVE OR THE COMPANY NAME.

Uhhh... how often does this take place? :?

Surprise, surprise....never knew the F-16 was equiped to catch a trap on a carrier. The Navy was never equipped with them. Maybe some demo models were so equipped to try to sell the F-16 to the Navy but it would be news to me...Tom

The navy did use F-16s as adversary aircraft at Miramar.

F-16's (as well as the Northrop F-5's) are equipped with tailhooks.... for emergency landings at airfields.... as alternative to running into crash-nets at the end of the runway...

Yeah, I was aware of that, but I was laughing at the "Aircraft Carrier" part. Was that ever tested?
