Any one now the lastest on how the P-51B that is owned by Jack Roush is coming? I don't see any new updates on the Bud Anderson website.

Steve,

What Tim's referring to is the fact that these photos on Bud Anderson's website are now over a year old.

No offense to you 357th FG devotes but does the world need another P-51 in a 357th FG paint scheme :vom: :vom: :vom:
Or 3-4 just in Old Crow markings
I'm about ready for a bottle of Old Crow :!:

I could be wrong but I thought I read somewhere that Roush has decided NOT to paint the -B as "Old Crow".

What I recall was that it was to be painted has another 357th FG ship 'U've Had It' but it was changed to Old Crow (I may have it backwards).

I'm thinking thats correct. Since he sold the D model "Old Crow", he is going to make the razorback "Old Crow"

If the B model is painted in old crow markings I hope they paint the white walls on the tires. That Paint job has needed to be done for sometime.

I was in the hangar there at Willow run, and it was in there. The plan is to do Old Crow with white walls I was told. That was about a year ago.

It's had a change of paint-jobs but it spends time in Jackson Hole, WY and I believe Kissimmee, FL. It's owned by Max Chapman.

The identity quoted, of course, is entirely fictional as this is a modern reproduction. No guns or gunports, dual controls, modern panels and twin cockpit canopies. Very nice, but not quite as North American intended.

The airplane apparently has some parts from 42-103293. How much I have no idea, but enough to give it some form of identity. As for the lack of gunports and the twin canopies, well that is because the airplane is supposed to represent one of the field mod war-weary two seaters. I know she is a little different than even those airframes, but at least it is another razorback flying.

BTW Trey, that is an absolutely gorgeous shot. What would one have to do to obtain a high quality print?
