B-24/LB-30 in Alaska?

I remember a few years back finding a somewhat newer picture (80's to 90's) online of what seemed to be a stricken B-24/LB-30 on the top of a snowy remote airstrip, possibly in Alaska? Since then i dont remember the
website.

I was wondering if anybody had any info on this particular a/c?

There are a couple of other B-24 wrecks in the Aleutians, but legal red tape and logistical difficulties have kept them from being recovered.

That's the one... shame she's rotting away in Fort Collins in the open... it was a bad trade, but these things happen.

If I remember I think she was in a red and white paint job. And if she's one of the most intact airframes then I'm surprised that no one is doing something with her.

Bingo thats the one! Thanks, and wow what a sad sight! If only a group like the Yankee Air Force was to get there hands on it! With the exceptional job they did on Yankee Lady I know they would do a superb job on this one.

Who is the owner, and if he is doing nothing with the a/c why doesn't he sell it?
