the airfield was pretty deserted when I was there - if they are in a hangars then I didn't have access - saw no signs of then outside

skippyscage wrote:there is certainly a C-123 parked up - didn't get a photo as I was tired and there was a lot of construction
Chad Veich wrote:There used to be several T-6s at Deer Valley including several ex-Sky Typer machines but I'm not sure what is there now. The entire Cactus Squadron was based there but I'm not sure what has happened since the loss of Carl Schmeider and his T-6. The Crusader are all gone now. Not sure about the Mig-15 but there is a Mig-17 amongst all the L-39s which can bee google earthed at:

The Arizona Wing of the CAF is located at Falcon and has a number of aircraft on display. There are also several DC-3s, DC-6s, Harpoons, Canberras, and others scattered about the airport.
Chad Veich wrote:mrhenniger wrote:#18: Is there a F-96 in Goodyear?
Not that I'm aware of
Chad Veich wrote:but there is a T-33 on display within the ROTC compound of Agua Fria Union High School. You can see it in google earth here:

jbloomer2 wrote:#13: Is there a F9F in a Pioneer Park in Mesa?
There was up until approxamately 20 years ago. It was taken down and disposed of for liability reasons.
jbloomer2 wrote:#22: I have a F-86, F-104, F-84 and T-33 listed at the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Are there any other airframes displayed at this airport?
All are located in the Arizona Air Guard facility. All are in good shape. The F-86 is located at the gate. The others are inside the facility. Unknown if there are any other airframes.

It is likely that there are parts of Sabres in the Dross yard but I've never noticed one intact in there. The scrap dealers do not encourage visitors who aren't planning on dropping large amounts of $$$ on them. Its hard enough to get some of those guys to deal with you when you do want to buy something.
