Nothing I fly or maintain, but the planet's only TBY-2 replica continues to evolve in the garage (Steve Dennis and I have an ongoing "battle of the wills" as to who can take the longest to actually complete a project).

So has anybody found me a center section yet?

Hi,
I am one of the charter members of CHAC aka Carolina's Aviation Museum in Charlotte. If it's here at CLT chances are; I helped take it apart, helped load/truck it, helped put it back together, or have been scrounging up parts for it ever since. (I have also flown on the museums DC-3, OV-1's, and a private AN-2 when it was based here -- really miss it!). I have helped with the CAF and Collings visits -- received, won or bought rides on LB-30/B24A, B-29, B-17, B-25. I also have helped CWH & OV-10/FACM retrieve planes for display.
What a fun, strange trip it's been!
:D

My life, really, is time with my beloved family between working on warbirds, researching and dealing in WWII parts, or flying the L-5. In my spare time, I try to help out Panchito. I just can't get enough.

I've been known to dabble in Warbirds a little bit myself.

So, Crew29.....judging by your screen name, you've been part of the B-29 crew. What kind of work do you do on that airplane?

Oh, and what else do you work on at the Mid Atlantic Air Museum....besides my ex-fiance', that is?

I'm a member of the Historical Aircraft Squadron in Lancaster, Ohio. The group is restoring an A-26, and it or it's members operate an L-5, L-16 and Stinson 108. I'm not a pilot or much of a mechanic (wow, never wrote that before....looks kinda sad), so I stay active in other ways. I am currently working on obtaining aircraft for our annual show (hint, hint).
If I had any sense, I'd also be over in Urbana helping with the B-17 :?

One PT-13D flyer, one N2S-3 project, a BT-13 project, half a flying Nanchang (currently searching for the other half - it's in the hangar somewhere), foster parent to a half-finished Stinson SR-7B, and help out periodically with VMFA's PV-1 Ventura restoration in Edmonton.

There's lots of work - it doesn't pay very well, but there's lots of work! :D

CAF member since 1984, first Dallas/Ft. Worth Wing then High Sky Wing in Midland. Operations Officer for the HSW the last few years and fly and act as a check pilot for our PT-19, UC-61/J2K, Stinson 105 and SNJ, plus have flown most PTs and BTs and L-birds over the years, and some fighters and single-engine attack/dive bombers.

Owned a couple of SNJs, Pitts S-2A, Piper Apache and replica Fokker Dr.I over the years, so I guess I've been involved with warbirds for about 25+ years. I've been a member of other aviation/warbird groups at times but currently concentrate my support on the CAF. It keeps me quite busy. Fly safe.
