I am seeking color photos of specific WW2 aircraft for a book I am working on. This is a self-published print-on-demand effort, so you will not get paid, and I will probably won't, either. However, any photos I accept for publication will receive a photo credit, and I will provide you with a free PDF copy of the book. You will also have the smug satisfaction that you've been published somewhere
The book is a visual encyclopedia of WW2 airplanes designed for both kids and adults, with a view towards being entertaining as well as informative. I've posted a sample page from the book below. It is the sort of page that your picture would appear on.
You will retain all rights to your photo. I am simply looking for permission to publish it in my book. If I decide to publish your picture, I will need to know your full name and the year the photo was taken, so that I can include the copyright notice. Some form of contact info, be it email or mailing address, would be useful, too. It is always possible that the book may find its way into the hands of a traditional publisher, in which case I may need some form of written permission for the record, so I may need to know how to reach you.
Photos need not be terribly high resolution, as the pictures will only be about 2 inches across when reproduced.
Pictures may be static or flying shots of the aircraft in question. Since they will be reproduced very small, it is best if the aircraft is shown in its entirety and with minimal background clutter. Below is a list of the planes I still need pictures of. I know some of these planes may be difficult to find pictures of,so if anyone knows of any good historical, public domain color photos of the below planes, feel free to share.
