Hmmm...not sure what to make of this auction. Over 10,000 viewed and only 1 bid? :? I can only imagine the cost of shipping something that size across the country!

How would you ship it?:pirate You can't fly it. Im guessing you'd have to ship it by parts and even doing that would take a lot of money. :?: I think its sad with such a rare aircraft being sold on ebay. Kinda low if u ask me. :axe:

That's the Bogue/Flanders B-23 N747M s/n 2719. Yes, I do believe, X-hughes.
Nice a/c has I remember her. Con't see her on the registry though.

To my knowlege, Gary Flander was not part owner of the B-23 N747M. Gary was a partner with Mike Bogue on F7F Tigercat N7195C however

Warbird51, Ya got any idea or heard what'd take
to obtain a ferry permit for her? Last thing I'd heard about the old girl, she'd
last been run-up in 2001, but since Mr. Bogue's passing had always been
hangared by his widow...and looked after by a friendly wrench or 2.

When we ran the engines up in 2001, they did better than I thought they would do. I would go through the carbs and the fuel system as there were some leaks due to seals drying out. #1 engine is in pretty good condition, but #2 is kind of tired. I would replace all the intake tube seals in both engines. It just needs a lot of TLC. There is a couple of spots where corrosion needs to be addressed.
She is a neat old girl, and is a cool a/c to fly. I have a lot of fond memories crewing her.

Thanks Wayne..I'll redouble my efforts with Lotto before if she comes up for auction again! :D

B-23's being a small world, I was wondering if you'd heard anything about
the plans of the gent in Ephrata, Wash who purchased 39-0063 and the Super Cat
late in 2006?

thanks for the ebay bid break down don. that's the trouble with the site now a days, all low ballers & tire kickers. the site has relegated itself to garage sale stuff, b.s. bids & flim flammers. there are reputable bidders & sellers participating on ebay, but overall all it's venue has been ground down to is..... "how cheap is cheap"?? isn't anybody entitled to make a buck anymore????
