That is great. Archie is the one who signed my formation qualification for the CAF in 1987. If you bring the plane to EAA I hope he comes also.

I remember having a chance to talk to him when he was at the Corsairs over Connecticut show. I was shuttling him around in a golf cart.

Remember im still in the reenactor "getup" at this time.
While driving him he turned and said "look at those clouds"! I looked up to see a perfect blue day with beautiful clouds lining the sky. he then remarked "boy id sure like to tear those clouds up" "boy i wish i could tear through those ones" I just sat there and really thought.

I was 17 at the time, and sitting next to this gentleman who had been in the thick of combat that the Pacific could dish out. I felt honored and aw struck. It was like meeting a cleb!

First off this Corsair is a beauty(girl is too). Second it is so nice to see what you have done for him. I agree with the statement that someone made that it looks like you made him younger. You have really done something special on many levels. I hope to see it at KOSH.

He does look 50 years younger in that cockpit!
