This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

terrible news.....
as for the lost photographs... I will open up my entire archives to him.... many of his posted photos are stored on my HDD, plus there are thousands in my own collection....
and I will arrange for some financial support directly
Jack's my friend... and he can count on me...

Hello,
I'm a newbie here, but I really enjoyed the pictures and the story from Jack
Best hopes for the futur. (Sorry, but it's difficult for me to find the good words in English...)
Just, about the pictures store on photobucket or similar services, I don't know the real probability to lost them on technical problem, but it's probably possible to "scan" all the links in the Jack's posts and automatically backup them to one safe place.
That probably only needs to write a small piece of code in PHP for that (Ask me if that can help)
Best regards.

nobody should feel remiss if they can't send a few bucks. times are tough in this country. consider the gesture as giving from the heart whether you send some money, or post your sympathies. it's all from the heart, & i'm sure greatly appreciated by jack, & all his friends on this site. we all do the best we can. jack's friends can be identified by their posts as well as their $$$$ sent to him. they both help. a friend in need is a friend indeed.

Folks, I have never met Jack face to face, but I feel like I know him from all his contributions & interaction here at WIX. I have one of the most rotten feelings I have had in a long time learning of his terrible loss. Jack you & your family are certainly in my prayers. I hope the best for you in recovering from this disaster.

I've not been keeping up with WIX since mid last week. It seems a whole lot can happen in a short time ......
The issues I've have had at work just paled into insignifigance when I started to read this thread
Thanks to this forum and Scott, I'm at least able to add a contribution to the fund and by this small token, let you know that your loss last Friday is felt on this side of the Atlantic too.
Godspeed you and your loved ones towards new domestic security and happiness in the near future.

Just thought you'd like to know how great a community we have here... So far and counting only paypal donations (mail and auction donations aren't in yet), we have raised in excess of $1400 for the "Bring Back Jack" fund and this will most likely double once the checks get here.
Thanks everyone!
