Hmm - Seems like I have heard that this may be easier to accomplish than everyone may realize

Just as a side note, Dick Cole personally constructed the cases for the goblets.

I received some pics from a friend yesterday. These were taken by Michael Reed.

Mike did a fantastic job of Marshalling the aircraft for the event!

I just can't get over how much I like that new paint job.

Thanks for sharing all the great photos. Someone said the last toast would be like a double-edged sword...How true and how sad.

When someone asks me "What is a PBJ?", I reply that it is the Navy version of a B-25 Mitchell. When they then ask me "What is a B-25?" my response is that it is the bomber that Jimmie Doolittle and others flew from the deck of an Aircraft Carrier to attack Japan in April 1942.

What is very sad is that 9 out of 10 who ask me those questions do not even have a hint about Doolittle's raid.

IN THEIR HONOR

Very nice looking bomber. Can’t wait to see her at Thunder!

Two things still bug me about it though. I still am a fan of the flat finish look and is it possible to install a dummy top turret in the rear location as it would be in the B model?

I mean I know its possible, but would the LSFM ever do this?

Just curious.

Great pics!

Not many of those goblets left the right way up. Will be a sad day when the toast is made but what a way to salute the men who have gone before.

I dont think that would ever happen Chris. :? Im not a fan of the gloss finish either, but it will prolong the life of the paint and make it easier to clean.

Hey, it's not really a B-25B so it can't be authentic anyway. The patch honors all of the Raiders as well. I thought that the paint job looked great, and did a great service to true American herooes. Oh, did I mention it? I didn't hear any of the Raiders complaining either. Personally I think it was done in about as respecful a way as could be done and I applaud Lone Star for a GREAT decision.

Likewise. I just think it would be cool to see a top turret on her.
