Most attactive "Pacific Theatre" P-51 B/C Mustang

Thu May 10, 2007 4:44 pm

I was trying to think of all the good looking B/C Mustang schemes and I realized the ones coming to mind were all ETO.

Can anyone show some good examples from the Pacific theatre?

Thanks

Shay--

No way for me to "show" it, but I've always liked Josh Sanford's CBI-theatre C-model "Rosalie" with the big Sioux head on the forward fuselage and the all-black empennage...at once fiercely American and rather understated. That would probably be my choice of livery were I restoring a C in USAAF marks. (Which would only happen in styrene...!)

I kinda like the 118th TRS P51Cs with the black and yellow lightning bolt down the side of the fuselage from the nose on back.

put together a quick profile of the basic look.
