I have recently come across an old carby and it is driving me spare trying to find out what aircraft it was used on. It is a 1957 Stromberg Carburetor made in the USA by the Bendix Aviation Corp, and has an oval tag fixed to the side MODEL NA - HIE, SERIAL 5741263, PARTS LIST 392164G - 8. It has the seals and tags still intact from a service in 1959, but most of the writting is faded and unreadable. My Pa thought it may have been from a DC3. I have several photos that may help Can someone help with this?[/img]

The DC-3 carb is a PD-12. See if you can find that on an oval metal tag riveted on the body some where. It has two throats or barrels in the center of it , and on one side, about 4 to 5 inches in diameter should be a stack that compromise the A thru D chambers. The fuel line in should be for a 1 inch diameter hose/pipe.
