And after 5 minutes work in photoshop:

It's very basic but came out ok.

Now, I want those of you who have image software to show me your best attempts and picture manipulation and post them to this thread.

Here are two older ones I did, you've probably seen them posted before:

Sweet! Here are a few of mine. The first one is a shot of an F-16 that had a blue, cloudless sky behind it. I had a shot of clouds over my house that I took a few months before that, so I combined them.

I would really like to learn how to do this...I've never really played around much with PS. If you read the manual, does it explain how to do stuff like this, or is it strictly by trial and error?

Thanks,

John

From Thunder Over Michigan, '05.

My wife shot me first. I shot the 2 P-47s and cloned one of them for a 3 ship formation and combined it all together.

Is photo shop hard to use? I was thinking about getting it.

If you are familiar with other programs like Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator etc the interface is very similar. The basics such as resizing and adjusting image properties are fairly easy but as you get more advanced it can get more complex, but the complexity sort of grows with your skills. Essentially it can be as simple or complex as you want to get.

You might want to check out Photoshop Elements. You won't have to fork out $700 or whatever it is now, and I don't think the learning curve is quite so steep.

While obviously not warbird related, it does show you what can be done with Photoshop. This is actually made up of four separate images taken at more than one location. Can anyone guess what the four images are? I did this one for a friend of mine who's on HBO's "The Wire".

Cheers,
Richard

By comparison with some of your guys, this is just a simple B&W conversion, tweaked into Conte Crayon .... Whatever that means

So is photoshop just a program that you open from your desk top once it is installed, and you just upload pics to it?
