John,
Go! And spend the extra time working on that ball turret! There are plenty of people in the world who live and breathe warbirds without coming to WIX. I think it is an okay place and don't like the people who are pinheads, but you know the deal- there are some everywhere. I like most people here. I contribute as I feel the need. But this is not the nexus of the warbird universe. You are part of the movement, and have a plank because of taking on a very difficult project. So, go, if you really want to, and leave the master baiters to their warbird fantasies. They don't need WIX, they only need Monogram and a tube of glue. I also suspect all they really need is female companionship- if only their mother spanking their rear.

Wish you well with your turret. I still have that hydraulic motor if you need it. Keep me posted on how the project is going.

Looks like the ones who are causing problems are probably the 8 that voted to have john leave.

Hey... some of us like building Monogram, and manage not to act like complete a55holes on the board. :)

John, as a LONG-time member of various boards (especially Hyperscale), believe me when I say that it's not worth getting upset when some jagoff attacks you. I don't blame you for not wanting to put up with it, but y'know, there's a lot of folks who appreciate your enthusiasm and input... don't let the bastiges get ya down. Take a break if you need to, but don't totally bail out...

Cheers,

Lynn

For the record I'm voting for him to stay.

BTW for those of you offended by my nose art posts, I recently found a nice photo blocker for myself inside of Firefox - that way I can determine from the context whether or not I want to view each individual picture! I'll have my WIX cake and eat it too.

I am also fairly new to WIX and have read most of John's postings in the HANGER. While my interest lays mostly with PBJs (otherwise known as B-25s), I have learned more about the different Warbirds on WIX, and appreciate the knowledge I get from other contributors.

I have also noticed that some topics do have the "unwanted" tendency to degrade in personal comments from a few writers. Sometimes I continue to read the Threads and shake my head or laugh at their comments; sometimes I just move on to other topics. As others have already noted, these "ten-percenters" can be found on many forums.

John has made a decision that he has to live with and from reading the postings, the majority feel saddened by that decision and loss of his contributions. I know hardly little about ball turrets, and I don't know if this poll will influence John to return, but my vote is for him to stay and continue with his contributions.

Dave

After voting yeah it dawned on me that we can't make John stay by having a poll vote. It's his right has a free man to make that decision for himself.
John, I hope you see by this poll though that you're a valued and respected member of this community by the vast majority. Has I said before John, I respect both you and your decision. but, i hope you stick around :!:

He gone, by his own request. So the point is moot. :(
