That sounds like fun! Never met anyone that owned one that didn't really like theirs. :)

Here's the first photos of our Navion. My husband and a friend went to CO this week to take the plane apart and load it on the trailer. It will be back in Chino this weekend.
I'll post periodic photos as we progress on the reassembly.

I can't believe I did this, but I (actually....we - my hubby and I) just bought a 1948 L-17 NAvion. Some assembly required :)
Major cool stuff and kinda scary at the same time. Once we pick it up (it's in CO) and start working, I'll share pictures.

Updates? Pictures? Serial# information please!! :)

So its a real L-17, not a Navion with a paint job. Cool!

Congrats,
We have several friends here in New England that own and love them.
One crashed his in april, he is looking at others.
Another landed his gear up last weekend, 9 mos of work or so to go.
There are at least 3 flyable in that group, and a bunch of others that come to the events that they put on. they do formation practice on non airshow weekends and have a blast.

Good luck

I thought she said (over on AAFO, I think) that it was just a commercial Navion and not an L-17?

Congrats and good luck with. The Navion was the first A/C that I ever flew, thanks to Steve and Johnny Rister out of Midland many years ago in Pampa, Texas.

Congrats Cindy,

My jealousy towards WIX members continues to grow, again.

Have fun with the restoration and flyin' it around. You've got to be quite excited.

Cheers,

David
