And your point is... ??? :P

You all must realize that being bitten by the TBY bug was something completely beyond my control. The project goes slowly, but rest assured the Sea Wolf will live again!

So you're saying that the TBM wins the beauty contest? Remember these two were in competition with each other, so no fair comparing the Sea Wolf with anything other than another TB!

Most former Turkey drivers described the TBY as a sweet ride: 50 mph faster, lighter on the controls in every axis...she could've been a winner.

You want a fugly TB? Fairey Barracuda!!

Two ideas here,
Dan K. You're a die hard Consolidated man if you're into the TBY. Let me know more if you don't mind. Does a TBY still exist?
I'm a flying boat nut. Anyone here a Beoing Sea Ranger fan?

Lets form an 'obscure ugly aircraft' fan club.

On the step and into the wind,

I need a cool shirt with a B-26 Marauder on it. Despite it's early reputation as a "Widowmaker" it was actually one of the most successful airplanes of WWII. And, it looks cool! I used to have a really neat one from the Martin Aviation Museum but wore it out.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but just a quick response:

TBY had a crew of three. You can see the pilot up front and gunner in the rear turret. For the radioman in the middle, you can make out a pile of radar gear in front of him and another large stack of radio communications and altimeter gear to the aft.

But she did get a contract: 600 to start. Production delays and those silly A-bombs ended the run at 180 examples. No survivors. Right now I'm basically scratchbuilding a static fuselage from the firewall back to the end of the crew compartment.
