I'd have never, in a million years, forecasted that anyone on WIX, especially Jack, would be quoting Aunt Bea!

But it is funny. :D

As an aside, I spoke with Frank Pine of Tallmantz Aviation back in 1979 about this episode of "Andy Griffith." It seems he was the "stunt" pilot who filled in for Aunt Bea for the flying. I don't think he was too proud of it as I think there was a dress and wig involved.

As for me, ATP and I get to fly Lear 60s and Beech 300 King Airs. Bummer.

Anyone who lurks, visits, or posts and likes Warbirds counts as far as I'm concerned. I've enjoyed the participation of "non-pilot" folks on WIX as much as the pilot's comments and advice.

I've got my Pvt, SEL, MEL. Most of my time is Stearman and T-6/SNJ, about 1,200 hours total. I started when I was 12 so I guess I should have every rating in the book by now. I've certainly had the opportunity but I guess I was always too busy having fun. Oh how I wish I could turn back the clock and re-live my ten years in Arizona!
