Great shot of a plane that honored a great test pilot!

FYI, The B-29, "Jack's Hack" at the New England Air Museum was for many years planned to be painted as the "Eddie Allen" when it was fully restored. When the 58th Bomb Wing approached us about holding their archieves and painting the B-29 in one of their ships markings, everyone thought it was a good match, so we never got to recreate the "Eddie Allen".

I was thinking along the same lines when the folks restoring Doc were having trouble with the friendly folks at Disney about their nose art; Eddie Allen would have been my first choice.

Isn't there a B-29 restored with those markings some where.

Not that I'm aware of. It would look neat though. Maybe FIFI is do for a make-over :wink:

:lol: No I am sure that I saw pics of a restored B-29 in those markings. The pics might be old, but at one time there was one in those markings.
