Interesting to see this is now in China of thing wha the hell?

Ive heard maybe NASA use of DC-8 was near supersonic at times to test wing and speed tests designs etc?

The first Air Canada DC-8-40 was taken supersonic in a shallow dive over Edwards AFB on it's test flight. The only thing really preventing the design from operating supersonic on a regular basis was lack of engines with sufficient power and fuel economy to make it viable.
