I don't know how many of you have seen it yet, but I thought that it was pretty good. Yes, the prop coming off was wrong and doing a dozen rolls in a sand storm then pulling off a perfect gear down crash landing was a stretch. But the pilots before take-off banter was great. The best part was the opening sequence. Nothing tops great air-to-air of a round engine beast like the C-119 while your hearing some great Johnny Cash!

I have the old movie and saw the previews for the new and I think Ilike the old better. I think it was a waste to retell a already great story.

Nothing like judging a book by its cover. Don't let the previews fool you, they are very misleading. It was way better than I thought it would be. The nomad/gun runners play a very small part in the movie and there isn't as much shooting as the ads make you think. The shots of the aircraft at the beginning are fantastic and over all it stays true to the original quite well. The crash was the only bad part of the movie. I do agree the original was good but I think the remake is almost as good. Go see it you won't be (too) dissapointed.

Alpine-right on. The previews showed a motorcycle gang chasing the plane. This never showed in the movie. I'd rate it a 8.5/10. Johnny Cash and C-119s are a great combo!

What was playing in the movie? Was enough of it there to want the soundtrack?

Die hard, ignorant Johnny Cash fan..

The entire opening sequence of the movie with great air-to-air of the C-119 is to "I've been Everywhere".
