In reference to the French B-17 that burned during the making of the Memphis Belle movie. The only thing really salvagible was the vertical and rudder. This was purchased by a man in Florida and returned to the U.S. The part remains here in Florida at this time.

Seems there may be a good use for it to mate it with that B-17 they recently brought out of the Newfoundland lake which is being restored in Georgia.
Or did they find and raise the tail with that?
If not, where does one find a good used B-17 tail? That would be a lot of work to scratch build.
