If F4F's were somehow intermixed with the P-38 recoveries going in the
"Manila ravine"...then they would be "fair" for private ownership. Right?

Besides the TBMs/F4Fs and others that were dumped or crashed off the USS Charger, there's also a JRM-1 Martin Mars that sunk in the Chesapeake on August 5, 1945. Does anyone know have any information on whereabouts of that wrecksite? The only information I seem to have found was that the salvage of the JRM-1 was deemed "uneconomical" in 1945. It would seem to me that what was considered uneconomical in 1945 may not necessarily be so today.
