A couple of weeks ago there was some discussion surrounding CORSAIR wings manufactured by BRIGGS Co.
The current issue, #44 of HEMMINGS CLASSIC CAR has part 1 of the story of BRIGGS from day 1 through 1933, so I would assume that part 2 will cover the war years-

Is sure hope it wasn't the same briggs that made that nast little lawn mower eng that that never starts when you need it. Last Briggs I had I kicked and put 2 deer slugs in it.

The landing gear doors and the horizontal and vertical stabilizers on FIFI were all built by Briggs. Just FYI.

Not to hijack the thread, but- Speaking of Fifi, what is her latest status? Last I heard, she was awaiting funding to convert 4 new engines to her specs, as the engines she was flying had reached terminal condition, and were no longer operable.

Briggs made the horizontals that are on 909 and Willy's Overland made the centersections for the early Corsairs.
