Django, Did you ever finish you Glossy Sea Blue car project? If so, do you have pics? I always liked the illustration and would be curious to see how it turned out.

I have had a few TBM, FG-1, FM-2, and F6F parts. All of the components were painted in non-glossy specular sea blue. Here are some photos of components that might be of help. Based on what has been posted here, I would say that Oscar Deuce has hit the color right on the head on his Corsair model. Note the different patterns of flattening and thinning that were used on the various components. All of these parts were painted in the Specular Sea Blue 607.

Eric, thanks for asking. No, we have done some metalwork and parts collecting but that's about it. Customer work is taking the priority and we have all the work we can handle for the next year. Which is of course a great problem to have, and I am thankful!

We're shooting to have it as a roller by October for a hot rod show that am involved with called the Hunnert Car Pile Up.

I met a guy in January who had a '40 Ford that was a beautiful stock restoration and it had a color that was dead nuts dark sea blue. It had a different name, but it was as close a match as I have seen. He said he would get me the formula, but I haven't heard back from him lately. Perhaps it's time to send another email...
