Mudge,
You dissappoint me!
Ron Fagen's P-38 not listed?
I surely was expecting every possible, flyable, P-38 out there to be on your list!
You've shown some terrific restain in allowing one or two of us out there to have our own P-38 after you scooped up 3!

Just having fun with "Mudge the Lightining Man"!

Keep in mind that all those in my selection that aren't already 2 seaters, will soon be.
I had to leave at least 1 P-38 that wasn't going to be modified.

That's a good idea ... for my second 10, I'll start by acquiring ALL flyable P-38's ... Wouldn't that be cool to see all the 38's lined up outside MY HANGER .... actually there were P-38's stationed here in Santa Barbara during the war. I'll have to do some digging for more info. oops!! I may be wrong, I know Corsairs were here, maybe not P-38's. I'll have to research.

Hmmm, not sure why this one keeps cropping up.

Firstly, it's a 22, not a 24, and secondly, the restoration hasn't started in earnest yet as far as I know, so it falls outside the scope of these lists of 'fully restored' airframes.

And Mudge, I'd have thought you'd have gone for the ex-Champlin, now Museum of Flight, P-38M. Put back into its nightfighter spec, with a proper second cockpit - lots of room for two!

I had the same idea as BattleRabbit, it's more fun to present them visually, and I've been lucky enough to point lenses at my top 10.
