Help needed for research: allied pilots vs Regia Aeronautica

Dear Sirs,
I'm an italian teacher of history; I started a research related to Italian air force "Regia Aeronautica" in WWII, and I would like to know (hear) something from their opponents, that is, allied pilots who fought it. Of couse no political intentions, just history! Any suggestion? I would greatly appreciate any personal account and witnesses of veterans.

Thank you, Dave! The website you told me seems very interesting. Since it is related also to Soviet Air Force in WW2, who knows I can find infos about the very few Russian pilots who fought against the Regia Aeronautica during the Russian Campaign...!
I will let you know how the research goes on :-)

Difficult research

Thank you again, Dave! I just registered in the forum you told me, I hope someone could help me. In fact, this resarch project seem to be quite difficult: I contacted some verteran's associations, but, because of the privacy laws, they don't give me any info. But of course I will keep trying :-)

research project

The research project is going on! A french historian contacted me, he has lot of informations and personal accounts about french pilots who fought the Regia Aeronautica in 1940. Unfortunately, the Imperial War Museum of London did not answered me yet... They have lots of recordered personal accounts of allied pilots there, I will let you know if I get some.
Do you know if there are any veteran's associations in Malta?
