Did you really watch the whole movie :?:

Yeah...it was one of those..."sumthin' cool's gonna' happen in a minute" things. By the time I realized the only cool thing that happened was the opening credits, it was too late.

So how far can a B-29 go on 6 drums of gas???
Anyone......Col Mossie.....anyone :?:

6 drums of gas

But Jack, ...those six drums of gas were really filled up high! After all the girls were rolling them uphill to the truck, and throwing them on the truck bed with relative ease. The one gal threw the last drum on by herself.

I was just waiting for them to pull the engines off two of the zeros to repair the B-29. They didn't go that far but I was hoping. Had to love this WASP crew being so adept at combat flying the Zeros while the good colonel was best fit to be a tail gunner on the '29.

With the 300 mph+ dinosaurs and all the rest I just can't remember a worse WWII avaition-related movie, Iron Eagles, etc., included. This one really set a new standard.

Come on, Alyssa Milano! Of course we watched charmed... though I rarely bothered taking it off mute ;)

It was particularly exciting to have them find all the Pratt & Whitney engine parts so they could fix the B-29

Watching the landing made me cringe a bit. A straight drop from about 200 ft.
onto the runway with no gear damage. "We build them good in Omaha, ja Heinie?"

And the topper...transporting an ARMED atomic bomb

I also loved the Colonel's nickel plated "Pimp gun" .45 and the single shot Carbines they used. They were cycling the bolt after every shot...ARRGH.

Heh, I noticed the instajam carbines myself. I'm sorry though, when they landed there were two engines ON FIRE! First of all, I never noticed them putting them out. Second, I'm no A&P but I slept at a holiday inn express last night, and I'm pretty sure you can't just wipe off those radials, slap on some Zeke hoses and fire them up. I could be wrong though.

And those sure were some fast dinothingies, I don't know of two many flying animals that can go 200mph :)

All in all this was better than SS Doom Trooper
but thats not difficult to manage. If you want some decent CGI footage, watch Dogfights.

I was thinking that these gals and their Zeros vs the flying monkeys from the Wizard of Oz would be cool on 'Dogfights'.
Can you tell I'm on break and can't get to the CAF's naked ladies web-site

I saw the film listed the otehr day while searching thru the guide. Didn't bother to watch the movie tho, I had to watch some paint dry :)

I finally got around to watching this on my Tivo. Boy it sure is tough to watch this kind of stuff since I'm now old and jaded, and no longer 12 years old.

My inner 12 year old thought it was kinda neat.

But as an adult, heavily into WWII and WWII aviation... it was horrible!! And I knew that going in, and it still sucked. Hahaha!

That WAS a comedy, wasn't it? Surely the producers weren't serious.

Can't Gary watch this thing and get some ideas on fixing Fifi? Get them gals over to Midland rip out a couple of Zero engines and she's good to go.
