As far as M. Patterson is concerned, I would like to remind him that I am always available to do feature (if Tim will accept it) about the Hoppers, a certain L-39 fourship that he knows quite well
Actually some of the wingmens own some nice classic jets, that would be worth a feature also. Anytime you want to burn Jet A-1 guys, I am your man. Check with me before OSH, I will be there once again !

Setter, I echo your comments on the Firefly- thank God the Aussies used them late enough to make it into the preservation era. One of my all-time favorites since 1974 when the late Allan Ness so graciously honored a teenager´s request to take a picture of the cockpit at OSH.
Don´t feel bad about not receiving WD #3. Those of us in Far South Aridzona have to wait for the stagecoach to arrive from Tucson. No telling when that will be.

Yes I really like Fireflies
When I was young here in Aus they were fairly plentiful - Sadly 4 of these have since been lost in Crashes overseas and another 4or5 are flying / static OS so our numbers are down a bit but we still have 4 or 5 here including the soon to fly again RANHF one.
Twenty years ago there was only one of the earlier series known of - that being the one at the UK FAAM but since then there has been an explosion of the Etheopian and Swedish examples so we should see another 6 or 7 of these "big chin" examples in Museums and flying - a few are headed to Pioneer in NZ for restoration so with the work they do they should be fantastic aircraft in the air and something different from the norn.
I particularly like the color scheme on our flyer

Yes but $99,000 Greenbacks is a little airsucking for most Aus collectors - considering the work that will have to be done - I'm afraid it will have to wait till the right errr person comes along - prefferably here .

I returned from my slightly extended round-the-world trip and found the new Warbird Digest waiting for me at the post office. Great job, Tim and all involved. It just gets better with every issue. I'm gonna have to take it to Idaho with me on Thursday and get John to autograph his cover shot!
In addition to the other assorted airplane magazines, bills, advertisements, credit card offers, and boxes from aircraft spruce and speciality; I also recieved the latest two additions of the "Girls gone Wild" DVDs courtesy of two of my students. Apparantly they don't realize that the DVD's get charged to their credit cards not mine! I've been getting them for over a year!

Congrats to Tim and crew on another fine issue. I got mine today and It's excellent. Now we will have to inundate Tim with pictures of us doing aviation related activies while reading the magazine

Let me just add to the chorus of voices praising the latest issue of Warbirds Digest...great issue. Of course, if helps to have one of my favorites (the P-47) on the cover!
Did I read the issue correctly, in that there will be a special coming out on the P-47 survivors? Any idea when that will be avaiable? (my apologies if this has already been discussed)
