"Big Bubba's Trailer MFG" 8) Now that's funny right there!

Perhaps this is Algore's new way to rid the world of Manbearpig. I mean "global warming"

There's a fairly recent thread on the "Wreckchasers" website Forum about this incident.

I knew it was not a good idea to let Dick Cheney up in that dual cockpit F-16 with the guns loaded with live ammunition!

That picture reminds me of a story from Ft. Bragg in the 1990s.

A women let her boyfriend borrow her SUV and he decided to do a little off-roading in the live fire ranges around Bragg. He then managed to get it stuck in the mud.

I'm not sure how much trouble the man got into (with the Army, at least), but the woman was told that she could not retrieve her vehicle due the danger from unexploded ordinance and from this point on it was just a target.

"Trigger happy"?

Come on, we're talking about guys on a night training sortie to a bombing range (UTTR). Their *mission* was to go shoot the gun for practice (among other events, I'm sure).

Military bombing ranges are littered with targets that look exactly like this one, especially when you're viewing it from 2 miles away on NVGs and have about 5 seconds to ID it before you pull the trigger and shoot. In order to test this out, go put on some NVGs, walk two miles away, and look at any random vehicle and identify its type. I bet you could stare at it for hours and still barely tell if it is a truck, a car, or a forklift. The Viper pilot had about 5 seconds to make the decision.

Nobody seems to care that the vehicle was on an active bombing range. It's not like these guys were driving down the highway when they were strafed out of the blue.

In my business, we call what you see in that photo a "shack" -- a direct hit.

I agree with you man good hit. NVG's are great for flying, and help our fleet out a ton when it come to looking for hazards to avoid when landing in fields and such, but I could not imagine having a few seconds to decide if something is a friend or foe.

Well, What the Heck? We can't afford to put gas in 'em anymore, so why not use 'em all for target practice!? No ones gonna buy yours! :D
