Bruce McRitchie is a member of the CWH was has restored several of the Fleet aircraft at the museum.

Ollie, Who owns the Stearman? Never seen that one.

tail mounted engine

okay you got me curious. I could recognise what everything else was but what is that thing with the tail mounted engine?

I know it is not a britten norman trislander and that's the only tail mount engine I had seen before

Sun May 30, 2004 11:00 pm

A quick search of the USCAR confirms my suspicion. The amphib with the tail mounted engine is a Seawind.

Mon May 31, 2004 6:24 am

Yep, Seawind 300!!

That flies out of Otttawa and gives ride at the Nationnal Museum.

Can anyone confirm ?

Same one Michel, the guy repainted it.

BLR, we wanted to have a demo of the Bush Hawk, since we were really interested in replacing a 185 by that, but we never got a word back from numerous calls, emails and faxes.

So we bought a third Beaver instead.
