I don't think Melvyn has ever MADE a cup of anything in his life - he has mastered the purchase of said Cup of Coffee but I don't think he ever learnt the actual recipe for the preperation himself. as for crumpets - all young ladies are of course welcome to inspect Melvyn's facilities at any time.

On another matter I have prepared the following for Key Publications which they may wish to consider putting in the Times.

"Tender - Facilities Manager - Web Services"

Tenders are invited from interested QUALIFIED PARTIES interested in supporting the operations of our on line forums.

Key would like to lift the performance of their current "Don't Give a @@@UIoK" supplier into the realms of reasonably competent"

At present this site is described as a part time hobby with occassional bursts of reliability and has as it's goal to be up at around post closing time at the Kings Head.

Ideally the site should be put on a 7 days a week - 24 hours a day with backup and redundancy built in to the standard offering. Offers from 14 year old Scandinavian school boys will be taken seriously. Offers from tired old 20 Year old Pommie computer Hacks will be treated in the same way as those from a Rabid dog - Software specifications are not prescribed but we would appreciate you not tendering with the sampler disc stuff on the front of PC world like the current guys.

Or something like that

I imagine quite a lot of young ladies have taken advantage of Melv's facilities--probably a few sailors too in recent more financially straitened times. :lol:

Hi Andy

No gas and power have always been free here - you just have to move near enough to the cables and pipeline and be a dab hand with a drill and wire cutters - can be tricky if you mix one up with the other though.

And no we never had the benefit of a coin meter system here - we just run up a bill and shoot through to the next rental flat!!!!
