To the folks who made the decision to let her come home...
And to the folks who busted knuckles to get her out of the swamp onto the dock...
I salute you!!!
Thank you for letting a historically significant artifact have its best shot at being perserved!

Three cheers for the national whatever! Guess they studied all the implications of the bottom line. hmmm. The Council can all get new Caddies or Benzes out of this.
With this precedent, is anything else left in Ooga Booga Land that's salvageable?

I know all kinds of shady deals and wranglings have probably went on here, but well done to the team who have rescued this now famous aircraft. I really did fear the worst for a while. I hope that she gets the very best of treatment when she returns home.

Awesome. Glad to hear that she is coming home.

What a great piece of news. Fantastic. Even better is the fact that they acknowledge if it had been up to them it would have rotted in the swamp since they didn't have the resources to save/recover/restore it.
Absolute over the top proof that the people who rescued it did the right thing.

Wow that is fantastic news! Is she on the boat, if not lets keep our fingers crossed until she is actually out of PNG. Congrats to all who worked so hard to get her to this point!
