QUESTION 1.) Is there a website that lists "game-day" flyovers?
About two weeks ago, I happened to be listening to the radio and heard about the B-2 that would visit the Denver region.
I wish there was a website that would list these possible flyovers...
They really are not "air show" events as they only last 45 sec or so...
but it would be nice to know of local B-2/warbird visits.
QUESTION 2.) The "United States" Economy is not doing so well...
Taxes may or may not go up... Gas prices are up there...
So where does this money come from????http://www.roanoke.com/columnists/kennedy/wb/32729 wrote:Since Aug. 1 and continuing through Sept. 30, the Air Force is, according to its air show Web site,

It costs about $14,000 USD an hour to operate these training runs to the Football stadium.
I love the flyover... but that is some serious cash that is being spent...
Do the Denver Broncos put up some of that money??? Or do our taxes cover the bill?
If we are paying the taxes for this kind of training mission, shouldn't the flyovers be more publicized??? "
I know... don't bite the hand that feeds your hobby... but how is this getting paid for?

I have no problem with fly-bys, nor do I have any problem with demo teams, etc.

Oh puh-leeze! From your statement you'd think that I've never had to pay taxes and had no idea that taxes fund the government. My point is that the government doesn't charge the airshow for their attendance. It may cost a rental car or two and a some hotel rooms for the crew, but that's about it. The fighter guys also have government credit cards to fill up the F-18 at podunk regional to do their display and to get back home.Hellcat wrote:No!!! ... the Government does NOT pay for it, WE taxpayers pay for it. Period!!!! .... don't get confused. And they are NOT diverted training missions. They ARE intentionally scheduled flights. How do I know? I have a friend who has flown a few of these flights. .... I have no problem with them, but 9 out of 10 taxpayers have a BIG problem with them.
