That's a great offer - I think. Sadly it won't be this show because I haven't earned enough from the last gallivant.

It would be cool to see a Duck, Ranger Widgeon, fixed float Goose, recip Mallard, and an Albatros do a flyby together. I'm not sure anymore about the Ranger Widgeon, but the others could be done with California airplanes alone.
There is also the capacity for as many as four Ducks in formation, but that would require some major cross country flying in some expensive and slow airplanes.
Gotta love Leroys waterfowl. A stock Goose is my lotery airplane.

warbirdcrew, you obviously have not gone to the right places, this was at Lake Mead a couple of years ago, they hold this Albatross event each year, although I understand the numbers are down a bit.

So let's see;
Amphibs would be; Duck, Widgeon, Goose, Mallard, Albatross
thats easy.
2)F3f Barrel, F4F Wildcat, F6F Hellcat, F7F Tigercat, F8F Bearcat, TBM Turkey a littler more difficult
3) Leeward's Guardian, Cavanaugh's F9f Panther, an Iranian F-14 tomcat, and an OV-1 Mohawk. Most difficult but not totally impossible
4) Static display- F9G Cougar, F11F Tiger, UPS truck, and didnt they make the light aircraft in the 70's called the AA-1 Tiger and Cheetah?
I think I have seen some aluminum canoes with the Grumman name on them too. Anything else?!!
edit; I forgot the ugly ducklings Tracker/Trader/Nomad series.

Mrs JDK (ex- camp councillor) knew of Grumman before she met me as 'the guys that make canoes'.
A Grumman canoe formation pass would be a good addition.
That Bolder splash in (and the web-foot Grummans should be on water, of course) is one on the list. Roger, do I see three Albatrosses and a Mallard there? Stupid question- how are they moored? I don't see any lines.
Thanks for the link and reminder. The interior of Reid Dennis' Albatross is something else - what a way to travel.

JDK, no Mallards there, I think all together there were around 12 or13 Albs in attendance. The HU-16's have a small hook under the back of the fuselage and were staked to the shore.

Now this may just be a dream however it is coceivable that there could be five flying tigercats. Rod Lewis x2, John Sessions, Clay Lacey and Bob Ponds. Now wouldn't that be a sight!
