I know some of you WIXers are corporate / charter / air ambulance pilots. Do any of you have any job leads for a recently laid-off G-IV & DA-50EX PIC?

If you have float time and Otter/Beaver/Twotter time, and are willing to downgrade from the GIV, I'm pretty sure Harbor Air has started hiring again for the summer season. They are based at CYVR, so don't know if you'd be wanting to move to the great white north. Also, WestJet is hiring so you could put your 737 ATP to good use.

Thanks for the lead - I have 1800 hrs PIC on the Twin Otter and 300 PIC on the Beaver, but unfortunately No float time...........

I'll look into WestJet.

As far as downgrading, big jets are nice, but I'd love to go back to flying a KingAir or MU-2 - something stable that pays the bills!!

A lot of people swear by the above website for jobs. I just got re-hired after being laid off for 7 weeks. A guy dropped the ball on his checkride and they decided to let him go and hire me back. I would like to tell you I am a great pilot but actually they took the cheapest option.
Here are some thoughts. First make a list of everything you know how to do that pays decent money. Assuming you want to stay in aviation, make a list of everyone you know you could call to ask for work or if they know of anything. This phone list should be in order of quality of the contact.
I came up with about 70 people to call and only got through about 5 before I started picking up work. Every phone call yielded more names and leads.
Next I talked to a guy that has been in the industry at my level for 30 years, plus a couple of guys that have been flying jets for 20 years at the corporate level. Bend their ear and listen closely. Remember the Carter administration years? I do.
Then I talked to two Financial advisors and a bank president and a real estate developer. Their advise was to grab anything now, as it is going to get worse before it gets better. If I had not gotten picked back up, I was going to look out of the country for 6 months or a year, until the U.S. economy stabilizes. YOu have a lot of credentials, and the advice given to me was not to wait another month if possible.
