And how exactly was I supposed to find that in the registry without knowing the bu no, the N number or the name of the aircraft previously? The 2 Rod Lewis specific threads that came up in a search had no P-47 info in them. Sorry I don't know who owns every single aircraft that gets posted on here.

Looking at the link that Dan K provided, it shows that Lt. Thompson who flew the original "Balls Out" had two different nose arts. The other shows donald duck.
You can see the differences on the link of the original bull and new nose art. . But hey...its Rod's airplane and he makes the call. Im one for being accurate but then again most of the planes I associate with arent all that accurate either. But regardless I still love the choice!!! I have the 1/72nd scale model at the house of this bird just waitng to be put together.

It was mentioned in the A-20 thread that is used to be T5*Z

The way I found it, Look in the registry under P-47D, then look for the airworthy ones, and find one that said Tillamook, and there you have it.

Here are a slew of photos of how it looked before:

I like the new markings, and am looking forward to seeing photos showing the complete aircraft. While the previous scheme was very attractive, at least to me, these new markings definitely give it some more character!

Wow! Are those the correct shade of balls?

Nice aircraft. 8)
