I guess I kinda left out that little tidbit, F-16's. It's an Air Expeditionary Wing, so different units rotate through. When I was there in '05 we had units from Ft. Worth (us), Homestead in FL, Luke in AZ, which were all Reserves and then an active duty unit the 555th (Triple Nickle) from Aviano AB, Italy.

No such thing as "just a ground pounder". I'll admit, I used to make all the usual jokes an Air Force guy makes about the Army, but not after watching those guys go "outside the wire" everyday to escort convoys to all the fire bases and to Baghdad. I also helped carry some of those guys off the medivac helo's at the base hospital helipad. I have a whole new respect for you "ground pounders", not that I didn't respect you in the past, but after seeing it first hand it brings it all home.
