My claustrophobia is starting to kick in...
The worse I had was in the booms of the P-38. At least in the T-6 you are sorta upright and have a vertical entrance.

Dare ya to make it's first flight like that.
On a serious note - great work!
On a semi-serious note, can you actually do the first item on a T-6? I've always kinda wondered because I've heard stories of them flying with at least one of those panels having departed the aircraft.

If you forget to connect the link arm between the panel and the truss, it WILL come off. There's a nice blue one in the bottom of Saguaro lake somewhere. Lesson learned? Don't let volunteers work on a plane unsupervised. It will bite you in the a** every time.

I've seen it happen three different times.....once with me flying! It flies just fine and is noisy...but the view is...interesting.

Gives a new meaning to "Visible Airplane" (thinking of the Monogram "Visible B-17" of yesteryear).

That's right. I forgot they'd reissued it. There was a discussion somewhere about that and a lot of talk about whether or not it was updated or just a rerun on the old tooling.

It depends on who you ask. Shipley says it's fine. Rich says it's not. Rich won. "Grounded!"

I haven't met Rich, but I was amazed at his keen senses upon deplaning at Quonset. I took this shot, then switched on "thought-capture mode" on the display...wow.
