Two of my buddies and I went to Watsonville Airport (CA) to see Fuddy Duddy, on the EAA tour. It was nice to see it here on the west coast for the first time in ? We took it for granted, how quickly that could change.........

Ya I say Aluminum Overcast a while ago. A couple of months later heard about it's mishap. Good thing Aluminum Overcast was fixed, but you never know when it is the last time your gonna see a plane before it crashes or is grounded. :?

Actually, aluminum Overcast is still being repaired as I understand it, so the EAA has been loaned the Wings Of Eagles Museums B-17 (Fuddy Duddy) to tour with.

I thought I heard that they had fixed it. :? Either way, it will fly again.

Corsairfreak, I don't think you mean't to say crashes did you? Planes don't crash too often. My dad's had the same plane for 35 years, and he flies it 300hr/year.

I remember writing to an editor almost these exact words almost 15 years ago to the day, a few days after the Red Knight's crash. I agree.
